The Van Veen grab-type dredge produced by the Danish company KC-Denmark is used to collect bottom sediments for biological,hydrological and environmental studies.
There are 5 specifications according to different sizes:
12.110- 250cm²(0.025m²)；
12.210/12.211-1000cm²(0.1m²)；
12.310-2000cm²(0.2m²)；
12.410- 2500cm²(0.25m²)；
12.420-5000cm²(0. 5m²)。
The Van Veen grab-type dredge from KC-Denmark is made of AISI 316 stainless steel with an electropolished surface. The 250cm² mud collector is made of 3mm steel plate,the 1000cm² mud collector is made of 4mm steel plate,and the 2000cm² and 2500cm² mud collector is made of 8mm steel plate. The 5000cm² mud collector is made of 10mm steel plate.
The 250cm² Van Veen grab has 4 covers on the top of the dredge; the 1000cm² Van Veen grab picker has 4 covers on the top; the 2000cm² Van Veen grab picker has 2 covers on the top; the 2500cm² The Van Veen grab-type dredge has 4 covers on the top; the 5000cm² Van Veen grab-type dredge has 2 covers on the top.
