Our flow meters are designed for applications where rotameters are not suitable. Consider the inherent problems with rotameters—they are difficult to read,especially with dirty or opaque fluids,have lower pressure ratings,and only allow for vertical orientation. Now consider that our model has large dials with eye-catching markings and characters that are easy to read from a distance,handle high line pressure,and can be mounted in any orientation.,like rotameters,they mount directly into the flow,but their bodies are machined from a solid block of metal,and they handle high-pressure applications up to 3,000 psi (versus 150 psi for rotameters) ). This makes them a natural choice for hydraulic and pneumatic systems.,these fixed orifice models are designed for low flow applications. We use a fixed Delrin orifice plate centered on a nitrile rubber diaphragm (Viton is optional),which responds sensitively to changes in flow. We offer a stainless steel dial that is easily calibrated. Dial sizes are also available,from 2.5 inches to 4.5 inches. Choose from a wide range of standard options; enough to suit any requirement.,a variety of reed switches and relays are available with the meter or separately,without dials. SPST switches are available in Normally Open (N.O.) or Normally Closed (N.C.). SPDT reed switches are also available. DPDT relays are suitable for high inductance applications such as those con motors or solenoids. Liquid flow meters,for liquids,our flow meters are calibrated to the customer-specified specific gravity and viscosity (up to 150 CS) of the liquid being measured. Otherwise,standard calibrations are performed on water at 70 degrees Fahrenheit. For oil service,use oil to calibrate the meter (specific gravity at 74 degrees Fahrenheit is 0.86 degrees Celsius). Special calibrations are available with selected fluids and conversion procedures to meet customer specific gravity and viscosity requirements. Standard calibration is available for horizontal installations; free for vertical installations.,Air and Gas Flow Meters,For air and gas applications,our meters are calibrated in air at 100 psig at 70 F. For non-standard fluids or conditions,conversion procedures are required. Since gases are compressible,please provide pressure and temperature conditions and gas type when placing your order so that the gas density can be into account and marked on the dial surface
