The sensing probe continuously monitors the liquid in the container and sounds alarm when the interface between different dielectric liquids crosses the activated probe. Typical applications include oil/water interfaces in and separators,water accumulation at the bottom of fuel tanks,and product phase changes in process streams. When the interface of the second product passes through the probe,the capacitance of the probe changes. This is used to activate alarm and control relays.
