The Dytran Series 3232 is a dual-axis IEPE piezoelectric accelerometer designed for use in Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) and Active Vibration Control (AVC) applications commonly found on commercial and military aircraft. The device has a sensitivity range of 10–100 mV/g and includes a radial 3-pin Mighty Mouse™ connector with 5/16–28 threads. A distinctive feature of the 3232 Series is its Dytran-developed integral mounting bracket design,which helps improve sensor performance while eliminating the costs typically associated with separate mounting brackets. The unit also has reduced mass compared to conventional sensors and mounting brackets. The Dytran 3232 Series is sealed for reliable operation in high humidity and dirty environments and is isolated from the enclosure to avoid electromagnetic interference/ground loop interference.
