The Model 3508 is one of a series of advanced process controllers that provide precise control of temperature and other process variables,as well as a wealth of advanced options,making it the most adaptable product in its class. The emphasis is on flexibility,but the 3500 controller still maintains ease of use. A simple ‘Quick Start’ process is used to configure all the basic functions necessary to control the process. This includes inputting sensor types,measurement ranges,control options and alarms to make chassis operation a reality. More advanced function configuration uses a PC-based graphical configuration tool that allows the user to select function blocks from a library and then connect them together using soft wiring. The large 5-digit display provides clear and unambiguous indication of process values. The four-line information center provides users with a customized or standard view of important information,while vertical and horizontal bar graphs provide a visual indication of the process.
