The Bayard-Alpert hot cathode ionization regulator uses a heated filament as the electron source. The Agilent 571 Bayard-Albert standard range ionization tube provides high performance over a pressure range of 2 x 10-10 to 1 x 10-3 Torr. The 571 pressure gauge can withstand prolonged degassing or accidental exposure to atmospheric pressure at operating temperatures and will still regain its original characteristics. Additionally,a reference meter is provided,sealed at 264 5 x 10-6 pallet,for testing the instrument controller.
