Endevco Model 7280A is a series of rugged,lightly damped piezoresistive accelerometers designed for use in high amplitude acceleration,vibration and shock applications. Type 7280A has minimal mass loading,wide frequency response and minimal zero displacement during shock events.,the Model 7280A uses a unique micromachined piezoresistive sensor with light gas damping to attenuate resonance amplitudes and a mechanical stop to reduce breakage under overload conditions. The monolithic sensor adopts the latest MEMS technology and is robust,stable and reliable up to 4 times the full scale. The accelerometer has four active arm bridge circuits. The lightweight 1.4-gram package is designed to reduce the effects of mass loading for optimal frequency response.
