The IRT (Infrared Rotary Torque) sensor is based on our popular model and now includes a frequency output. All setup and configuration settings are done through a very easy-to-use USB-based package,with optional output,filter settings and range settings. The sensor is designed for use in dynamometer and test bench applications that require high performance,high noise immunity,and non-contact torque measurement. The sensor's rotating electronics are powered inductively. The rectified,regulated voltage is then sent to a strain gauge bridge,which senses the applied torque. The signal is converted into digital format on the rotary torque sensor and transmitted back to the base unit via an infrared diode and receiver.
