Melamine is a lightweight, high temperature resistant,open-cell foam made from melamine resin. It combines excellent thermal properties with superior sound absorption to create a versatile,fiber-free product that can be used in applications where the use of polyurethane foam or fiberglass insulation might be prohibited. The fire-retardant foam meets the flame spread, smoke density and fuel contribution requirements required by Class L building code regulations. This soft,low-density foam has high-performance thermal and acoustic properties, making it ideal for factory and FDA-approved applications. In addition to solving aircraft and construction noise issues, acoustic foam melamine foam can be used in OEM products that require thermal and acoustic insulation properties. Optional panels are available for more durability and chemical resistance,as well as pressure-sensitive adhesive for easier installation. Standard Sizes - Sheets: 24: x 48,48x 48,48x 96 Standard Thickness: 1/4 to 18,Melamine Physical Properties,Many applications require these products to withstand the environment such as dirt, moisture, chemicals and abrasion, which may cause unprotected The foam causes harm. Tamer Industries,Inc. has developed a variety of surface treatment technologies to protect the integrity of the foam from the elements. These topcoats will increase absorptive properties at certain frequencies and provide a cleanable, decorative and durable finish for a variety of applications.,Optional Topcoat:,Pressure Sensitive Adhesive:
