Atlas is a USB multi-channel audio interface for personal recording and sound production,suitable for professional musicians,composers,engineers and producers as well as recording studios,post-production facilities and scoring desks. Atlas is ideal for music and voice recording,,multi-tracking,subwoofers,stem-based mastering,analog summing and critical listening applications. Atlas delivers Prism Sound's renowned performance,sound quality and state-of-the-art clocking technology in a purpose-built unit compatible with Windows (Vista,7 and 8,32 and 64-bit,ASIO and MAC OS X 10.4.11 and later (Intel)). Once the computer is configured,Atlas can also be operated stand-alone using its ADAT,S\/PDIF or AES3 I/O. Eight analog input channels and up to 10 digital input channels are available as audio workstation software via the host computer's audio driver. Inputs. Likewise,8 analog output channels,up to 10 digital output channels,and stereo headphone outputs can play 20 different channels. For low-latency fallback or monitor headphones or main outputs,each output pair (1-2,3 -4,etc. or headphone output) can optionally be driven from the built-in DSP mixer for individual local of any input via the controller applet. All analog inputs are electronically balanced with automatic unbalance operation. The analog outputs are 'bootstrapped' Electronically balanced,i.e. if one branch is grounded,the level is maintained.
