Keysight's B2961A 6.5-bit low-noise power supply is part of a new generation of power supplies that offers best-in-class accuracy,wide bipolar output range and extremely low noise. The Keysight B2961A also features plotting capabilities and other innovative features that enable testing and evaluation not possible with traditional power supplies. This makes it ideal companion product for oscilloscopes,network analyzers,spectrum analyzers,frequency counters,digital multimeters,nanovoltmeters and other instruments. The Keysight B2961A (Agilent) provides power supplies and power solutions to meet the difficult measurement challenges researchers,designers and developers face with advanced components,circuits and materials.

Keysight B2961A (Agilent) power supplies feature broad voltage (up to ±210 V) and current (up to ±3 A DC and ±10.5 A pulsed) source ranges and excellent 6.5-bit resolution (minimum 100 nV/10 fA program resolution) . This enables you to deliver voltages from 100 nV to 210 V and pulse currents from 10 fA to 3A DC / 10.5 A in one box. Unlike typical power supplies/power supplies,the B2961A supports 4-quadrant operation,giving you the freedom to accurately deliver any voltage or current contained within its range and power limit (31.8W),regardless of polarity.

The development of noise-sensitive applications such as VCOs (Voltage Controlled Oscillators),ADC/DACs,new materials evaluation,etc. requires low noise performance. However,conventional power supplies and power supplies cannot achieve the noise levels needed to meet these requirements. The Keysight B2961A supports optional external filters,enabling ultra-low noise output as low as 10 µVrms and 1nVrms/√Hz at 10 kHz,which is unprecedented for a low-cost benchtop signal source.

The Keysight B2961A (Agilent) has a 4.3-inch wide LCD display and all its features can be accessed from the front panel graphical user interface (GUI). The graphical display not only simplifies user operation,but also makes it easy to view measurement results. In addition to its built-in 4.5-digit voltage and current monitoring capabilities,the Keysight B2961A can display results in numeric or graphical (Vt/It) format on its screen. This allows quick checking and debugging of measurements without the need for additional equipment.

In addition to the DC output,the Keysight B2961A is capable of generating pulses,sweeps and arbitrary waveforms of voltage and current anywhere within its wide output range. In addition to user-defined waveforms,its arbitrary waveform generation feature supports common waveform types (sine,ramp,square,etc.). This provides a great deal of versatility and allows the B2961A to be used in many complex applications.

The programmable output resistance feature allows you to specify output resistance (positive or negative) or specific voltage and current source characteristics. This feature is ideal for simulating a variety of devices that are difficult to simulate (e.g. batteries,photovoltaic cells,sensors,transducers,etc.).
