An advanced rheometer system utilizing Rotonetic 2 drive,patented,adaptive control technology optimized for strain control and stress control operation. Key technical features include a broad torque range extending to 200 nm,making the Gemini suitable for a wide range of applications in research and product development. A new high-resolution torque mapping system applied to Bohlin's inherent low-bias air bearing technology sets low torque with great precision. The Gemini system comes with a full of EasySwap™ temperature controllers inc fully integrated peltier equipment,forced gas oven with optional liquid nitrogen cooling and electric heating. This allows the Gemini II to be configured quickly and easily to allow testing of a variety of materials and applications,inc polymer melts,composites,fluids and semi-solids. Rotonetic 2 actuators are capable of testing in all conventional strain and stress control modes,inc stress relaxation,creep and viscous modes. Vibration testing be performed in direct strain or stress controlled mode. Vibratory direct strain manipulation allows a preset strain amplitude to be imposed on the specimen without the need to repeatedly adjust stress on a cycle-by-cycle basis. Partial wave sampling allows rheological data to be collected for only a portion of the entire oscillation cycle. When used in conjunction with direct strain control,partial wave sampling enables low-frequency testing to be significantly less time consuming and therefore more practical.
