When size matters,trainees from Unilux are equipped to perform WAN conversion and tag inspection. This trainee combines the focusing capabilities of the Lith-O-Light (LOL) 40 with the power of the HD851,making it ideal for in-line rewind slitting 2 to 3 feet away from the light source. When using the LOL-40,the trainee does not need to backlight the film on the transfer line,nor does it need to have a light less than 18 inches from the checkpoint,which sometimes does not illuminate the lower roller as intended. For some HD851 uses,trainees will be given greater flexibility with printer and converter-mounted lights,allowing them to illuminate the inspection area. This student has four times the power of the LOL-40 and only half the power of the HD851. It combines a lighting power supply and a reflector design to enable trainees to cover a 40-inch (1-meter) wide net.
