CMOSIS New Vision CMV2000 CMOS image sensor

CMV2000 is a high-sensitivity,pipelined global shutter CMOS image sensor with 2048 x 1088 pixel resolution capable of HD formats. The pipeline allows exposure during readout. The state-of-the-art pixel structure provides true correlated double sampling (CDS),significantly reducing fixed pattern noise and dark noise. The imager integrates 16 LVDS channels,each at 480Mbps,resulting in a frame rate of 340 fps at full resolution of 10 bits per pixel. Drive and readout are programmed through the serial peripheral interface. An internal generator generates the signals required for image sensor readout and exposure control. External contact triggering is still possible. 12-bit-per-pixel mode can be used to reduce frame rates. Currently,2 versions of CMV2000 are in production. Version 3 was released in early 2013,offering an on-chip phase locked loop,black sun protection and additional gain stages. More details can be found in the dedicated application instructions for our client download. Version 3 is fully mechanically,electrically,and functionally backwards compatible with Version 2. This means that the camera system does not require hardware and/or firmware changes to support both versions.
