The CNR1-L net radiometer is manufactured by Kipp and Zonen for applications requiring research-grade performance. The radiometer measures the energy between incident shortwave and longwave infrared radiation and surface reflected shortwave and emitted longwave infrared radiation. It consists of an upward pair of thermometers and a downward complementary pair. Pyranometers and pyrgeometers measure shortwave and far-infrared radiation respectively. All four sensors are calibrated to an identical sensitivity factor. The CNR1-L also includes an RTD for measuring the radiometer’s internal temperature,a 4WPB100 module to interface the RTD with a data logger,and a heater that can be used to prevent condensation.
