These sensors are used for displacement/position measurement. They made an accurate position measurement of the movement of the armature (sliding part) relative to the body's displacement sensor,"This sensor uses the Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) principle,which means it is probably the most robust and reliable position sensor types. The advantage of LVDT sensors is that there is no electrical contact between the position sensing elements of the sensor,which means clean data,infinitely high resolution,and very service life for sensor users. Non-magnetic fluids can fill the armature tube without affecting the operation of the transducer. There are two types of LVDTs,one is unguided and the other is spring return.
