Multi-tube (barrel) diffusers will scatter high frequency sounds and capture bass in any location. Bass absorption will vary with size. A 2u2019 x 4u2019 unit has maximum absorption at about 125 Hz. Increasing the size to 4’ x 8’ reduces the maximum absorption center frequency to 63 Hz. Mid- and high-frequency absorption is typically 0.10 to 0.25. The Dual Function Diffuser 2122 is available in white thermoplastic,Standard Guilford FR701 Type 2100 fabric,or other factory-approved finishes. Units can optionally be lined with 1-1/2 thick fiberglass laths to increase absorption and prevent resonance. Liners come in larger standard sizes.
