The world-famous Bohlin DSR II rheometer,the industry standard dynamic shear rheometer for SHRP and AASHTO asphalt testing. (Conforms to AASHTO TP5). Fully automatic,sturdy and easy to use. Developed in close collaboration with SHRP researchers,the Bohlin DSR bitumen rheometer sets new standards in bitumen testing technology,providing precise and precise unattended operation. Maximize sample throughput. For QC testing of SHRP,it is crucial to have samples throughout. Therefore,every feature of the DSRII design has been implemented with the goal of minimizing the time required to make each measurement in accordance with AASHTO TP5. Temperature Control - Bolling's pioneering design. Asphalt materials are extremely sensitive to temperature,and their material properties significantly at minus one degree Celsius. Even if the temperature gradient in the sample is small,the error between the sensor temperature and the average temperature of the sample can make the rheological data unreliable. To solve this problem,the Bohlin DSRII bitumen rheometer utilizes a clean,easy-to-use system that fully immerses the sample in a temperature-controlled fluid (patented) that fully complies with SHRP testing protocols. Gap Setting - Simple and thermally stable. The DSRII gap can be easily changed to any desired value. For simplicity,both specification test locations are clearly marked and can be easily selected. With most rheometer systems,the gap must be constantly reset throughout the day of testing,and must be readjusted every time the temperature or measurement system changes. Bohlin DSRII solves both of these problems,eliminating the constant resetting of gaps to help optimize sample throughput and eliminate operator error. Choice of mechanical or air bearings. DSRII rheometers are available in two versions,mechanical bearing or air bearing. The mechanical bearing unit can also be upgraded to an air bearing unit if testing requirements
