Product Features"," KOBOLD DVZ Series Vortex Flowmeters are the perfect solution for reliability and low-cost applications. DVZ uses the principle of vortex shedding to the flow of low-viscosity liquids. Place a small obstacle (blunt body) in the flow path. When fluid flows through a bluff body,a small low-pressure area (vortex) is formed behind the bluff body. The position of the vortices alternates in a uniform pattern on either side of the bluff body. The frequency of vortex displacement is proportional to the flow rate. This in the vortex is detected by a very sensitive pressure sensor and processed into a proportional flow signal. The DVZ series vortex flowmeter has no moving parts and is highly reliable. The DVZ Series is available with Ryton valve bodies and a choice of either nickel plated brass or 316 stainless steel fittings. Blunt bodies are available in standard Ryton or optional ceramic materials and offer excellent long-term wear characteristics even under harsh operating conditions. Available outputs include pulse frequency,4-20 mA,adjustable relay,compact electronics with LED digital flow display,4-20 mA output and adjustable transistor switching options.
