Description

Honeywell HAF series gas flow sensors are designed to measure the mass flow of air and other non-corrosive gases. Standard flow ranges are available at ±50,±100,±200,±400 or ±750 SCCM. Custom traffic ranges are also available. These sensors utilize an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) on the circuit board for full calibration and temperature compensation. Honeywell HAF Series Gas Flow Sensors are compensated for a temperature range of 0 °C to 50 °C [32 °F to 122 °F] and are rated for -20 °C to 70 °C [-4 ° F to 158 °F]. Advanced ASIC-based compensation enables digital (I2C) output and 1ms response time. These sensors measure the mass flow rate of airflow based on the principle of heat transfer. They consist of microelectromechanical sensing systems (MEMS) con thermal resistor microbridges and thin-film platinum resistors deposited on a silicon nitride film. MEMS sensing chips are located within precision-engineered airflow channels,providing repeatable response to flow.
