Pressure Aging Vessels (PAV’s) use heated pressurized air to simulate the long-term oxidative aging of asphalt binders. The PAV consists of an ASME specification stainless steel pressure vessel within a stainless steel cabinet with a seal band heater. Gilson PAV systems meet the needs of busy laboratories and high test volumes.,this state-of-the-art system meets all ASTM and AASHTO requirements and includes a platinum RTD device to ensure accurate temperature values to ±0.1°C. Pressure reducing valve and high-temperature thermal shutdown are included as standard safety features.,the HM-74 ATS pressure aging vessel uses a programmable logic controller (PLC) to fully control and monitor all test processes. This easy-to-use system completes testing in three simple steps: press the heat button,insert the sample when prompted,and press the age button. The stainless steel cabinet measures 30x20x24in (760x508x610mm) and is xdxh wide. The ATS PAV includes a set of 10 TFOT sample trays,a sample holder with lifting handle,and a sample processing tool.
