The HMT2 5-gear multi-turn encoder provides absolute position information for multiple turns of the input shaft. It tracks accurate location even during power outages without the need for battery backup. The HMT25 series output up to 4096 counts per revolution and count up to 4096 revolutions,a total of 24 bits or positions. Encased in a 2.5-inch diameter sealed package,the device is built to withstand harsh environments and has an IP 66 environmental rating. These encoders meet the travel and high resolution requirements of robotics,rolling mills,turntables,cable wrapping,printing,converting and material handling systems.
