ifm KG6001 capacitive proximity sensor

Used in high temperature environments up to 250 °C,where plastic granules are transported and processed,capacitive sensors are used to monitor liquid levels in pipes and silos,or through sight glasses in injection molding machine loaders. Sensors must reliably detect a wide range of different plastics. On the one hand,this means different materials,residual moisture and temperatures,and on the other hand,the particle size and surface of the basic substances vary greatly.,the switch is easily adjusted to medium by pressing a button. Crystallizer level detection is possible due to the separation of the sensing head and electronics. The sensor head is suitable for the high temperatures found in this environment. The amplifier must be installed outside high temperature areas. The special mechanical configuration ensures that the sensor is very sensitive to electrostatic discharge. To reduce type variations,switching outputs can be programmed as normally closed or normally open. Two highly visible LEDs clearly indicate level even from a distance.
