The Alliance Sensor Group LA-25 Series LVDT Linear Position Sensor is designed to handle extreme industrial environments. This rugged linear sensor has a 1-inch (25.4 mm) diameter aluminum housing (stainless steel housing also available),two dual-contact shaft seals to prevent liquid and solid contaminants from entering its bore,and comes standard Axial Euro connectors or cables,also available in through-hole versions with radial connectors or cable sockets. LA-25 LVDTs can be used in places where users may not have previously considered ordinary LVDTs. With a full-size measurement range of 3 inches (75 mm) to 15 inches (375 mm),the LA-25 is ideal for drum gap positioning,headbox feedback,process valve displacement and actuator position feedback,and is rugged to withstand Harsh environments in steam and hydroelectric power plants,paper mills,steel mills and aluminum plants; industrial automation and fluid power systems. Sealed to IP-67,the LVDT can operate in harsh factory environments,inc lubricating oil mist,cutting oil spray,airborne grit and dust,as well as surviving common steam cleaning and flushing. The unit is rated to operate at 250°F (125 C) (higher temperature versions are available),and the LA-25 is available in a low-e version if the application requires it.,LA-25 allows for a variety of installations,inc standard saddle pipe clamps,a two-hole flange that threads onto the front bushing of the LA-25 housing,and a single-hole installation through bulkheads up to 1/8 thick in.,lock washer and hex lock nut threaded onto the same bushing. LA-25’s cores are sealed within the core extension assembly and will never come loose. The connecting rod has a sturdy 5/16-24 UNF (or M8x1.25) external thread for easy mechanical connection. When used with Alliance Sensors' SC-100 industrial-grade LVDTDIN track-mounted signal conditioner with push-button calibration,the LA-25 LVDT becomes ideal solution for heavy-duty industrial applications involving position sensing. The LA-25 and LA- 27 be installed in places where LVDTs have never been considered before. The unit is rated for 350 degrees Fahrenheit with option of 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The strength of the housing prevents the sensor from being stepped on or material falling.
