The LN-251 Inertial Navigation System/Global Positioning System (INS/GPS) is the smallest,lightest,lowest power consumption,and most reliable navigator in its class,with unparalleled geolocation and speed accuracy. The LN-251 is a fully integrated,jitter-free navigation system with built-in 12/24 channels,omnidirectional observation,Selective Availability/Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM),P(Y) code or Standard Positioning Service (SPS) GPS. The LN-251's fully integrated,tightly coupled GPS inertial design provides navigation performance superior to other embedded INS/GPS units. Non-jittering inertial sensors achieve the lowest measurement errors in their class,increasing sensor accuracy. Its modular open system architecture allows easy adaptation to other applications and changing needs. LN-251 Advantages Northrop Grumman's high-reliability LN-251 INS/GPS offers a variety of advantages,inc light weight,low cost and high performance. The LN-251 Fiber Optic Gyroscope (FOG) features one of our most advanced technologies and includes three independent navigation solutions: Hybrid INS/GPS,INS Only and GPS Only. Jitter-free,low-noise fog technology eliminates self-induced acceleration and velocity noise. In addition,standard positioning service GPS (coarse code/collection code) is also provided. Our LN-251 features independent and programmable inputs and outputs for flight controls and avionics. The LN-251 has a jitter-free inertial sensor that allows for additional accurate speed measurement and is available in 0.8,1.0 and 2.0 nmi/hr classes of performance. The system is capable of AR-57 shipboard alignment. LN-251 growth potential,the LN-251 features integrated high-interference-resistant GPS subsystem and the ability to integrate with M-code when available.
