Solar Radiation Photometric Sensor The RainWise Photometric Sensor is a photometric sensor designed to measure lighting conditions when the eye is the primary receiver. Features: This sensor uses filtered silicon photodiodes to provide a spectral response that matches the CIE curve by +5% in most light sources. The photodiode and filter combination is placed in a fully cosine corrected sensor head to provide appropriate response to radiation at different angles of incidence. The photometric sensor is mounted on a horizontal base and can be used with a flat base or a plug-in mount to accommodate the RainWise tripod or monopod mounting system. It is manufactured from high stability silicon (detector),aluminum,stainless steel and PVC (base rainwise installation). The Raindrop Quantum Solar Sensor is backed by a one-year warranty from the manufacturer,Licor. It is important to plan for recalibration of the instrument each year. Recalibration is not covered by this unit’s warranty.
