Maxim MAX30105 high-sensitivity optical sensor integrates a particle sensing module. The module includes internal LEDs,photodetectors,optics,and low-noise electronics with ambient light reflection characteristics. The device provides a complete system solution that simplifies the design process for smoke detection applications,inc fire alarms. Due to its extremely small size,the MAX30105 can also be used as a smoke detection sensor for mobile and wearable devices. The MAX30105 operates from a single 1.8V supply,with its internal LEDs powered from a separate 5.0V supply. The module communicates via a standard I2C compatible interface. Power can be shut down via software,and current consumption in standby mode is almost zero,allowing the power rail to remain connected at all times.
