The Microplastic sampler,a traveling microplastic sampler launched by the German company SubCtech,is compatible with ships of various sizes and can complete the task of collecting microplastic particles of different sizes in the water during the cruise process. It can also be matched with microplastic analysis instruments in the future. Quantify and characterize microplastic particle properties per unit volume of water.
Simplify the complex and scientifically capture plastic particles in water
Seawater enters through a specific water inlet,passes through a coarse filter,and then enters the filtration unit.
The filter unit consists of three filters with specific pore sizes (graded filtration: e.g. 300μm,100μm,30μm). The self-priming pump is arranged below the filter unit,and the volume of the filtered water sample is measured through a flow meter. The two auxiliary pressure sensors can detect the cloaking phenomenon during filtration.
The sampling system stores all data internally,and the onboard GPS antenna provides accurate location and time stamps. The system can output data and charts in real time on the serial interface in NMEA-0183 format. After sampling,the data can also be downloaded through the USB interface on the panel.
