OPW Engineered Systems Model 8130 Series Optic Rack Monitor Liquid Leak Detector

A unique,pulsed,intrinsically safe electrical signal is generated by the control monitor and transmitted to the sensor plug via a coiled wire and optical format. When the sensor on the conveyor belt dries,a signal is returned to the monitor. If the signal meets predetermined characteristics,the monitor will go to the permission statement. This permissive state closes a set of relay contacts and changes the status light on the front of the 8100 Series Fiber Rack Monitor from red (non-permissive) to green (non-permissive),signaling the Terminal Automation System (T.A.S.). If the sensor becomes wet during loading,the monitor senses this and opens a relay. When the relay is open,the status light will turn red (non-permissive) and stop the permissive signal to the Terminal Automation System (T.A.S.). The Type 8130 Optical Monitor with Ground Verification includes display status of the optical sensor showing permissive or non-permissive status,as well as operating mode.
