Emerson Process Management-u2019s instruments and sensors are ideal for intermittent process pH,dissolved oxygen and conductivity measurements for steam-in-place sterilization. High-performance sensors provide a long,stable life while requiring minimal maintenance. A variety of mounting accessories are designed to provide easy access to the sensor via fixed welding or retractable mounting configurations. All instruments offer a wide variety of features,allowing users to select the best analyzer/transmitter for their respective process needs. The Hx338 sensor offers unique triple reference technology for biotechnology and pharmaceutical processes. The triple reference frame consists of three (3) independent peripheral liquid junctions that are in contact with the solution and two (2) inner knots that protect the reference frame. The first connection eliminates traffic sensitivity and maintains a stable reference signal. Three integral reference connections work together to help maintain a drift-free pH signal and combat poisoning ions (i.e. sulfides,proteins or sugars) even after multiple sterilization cycles. The sensor is also suitable for other applications,inc chemical reactions or food processing. The Hx338 can be used with plug-in or retractable sensor mounting assemblies or similar accessories with PG 13.5 sensor connections,all of which can be used with large-scale batch processes for steam-in-place sterilization. For small batch processes,it can be screwed directly into the top plate and autoclaved if necessary. The 12 mm diameter sensor is available in five different lengths for different insertion depths. The sensor has a PG 13.5 thread for simple process connection and a single-pole S7 connector plug for quick disconnection to the accompanying cable.
