The MS-202 is designed to measure longwave radiation beyond 3 u00b5m. The specially coated silicon dome transmits incident radiation with wavelengths greater than 3 u00b5m by cutting off shorter wavelengths of the solar spectrum. A radiation compensation circuit with a thermistor is integrated in the MS-202. This circuit is used for sensor body temperature measurement or wave downward radiation measurement in active mode. The detector's analog output voltage is linearly related to the net radiation emitted by the atmosphere and ground. Thermistor dome temperature sensor is available as an option.
