Sierra Instruments, Inc. MutiTrak™ 670S Immersible Thermal Flow Meter Mass Flow Meter and Controller

Sierra's Multi-Trak™ Model 670S is an advanced,state-of-the-art instrument for measurements in very large ducts or stacks with non-uniform velocity distribution,high shutoff requirements,dirty airflow,wide temperature ranges,and rapid velocity and temperature changes mass flow rate. Multi-Trak™ dynamically compensates for changes in flow profile by using up to four independent mass flow sensing points to measure the instantaneous average gas mass flow rate. Multi-Trak™ is commonly used in petrochemical refining,coal-fired power generation,steel manufacturing and many other industrial processes that face the challenge of accurately and repeatably measuring gas mass flow in very large pipes or ducts. An innovative,versatile,user-friendly microprocessor-based Human Machine Interface (HMI) controls all functions of the Multi-Trak™ system. The HMI is used to collect,visualize and store flow data,as well as set up individual sensor points,allowing the entire system to be easily configured in the field. Multi-Trak™ HMI integrates flow measurement,flow range adjustment,field verification and diagnostic functions,and displays mass flow and total flow as well as other configuration variables. All this data can be easily programmed from the HMI's easy-to-use touch screen. Unlike single-probe insertion sensors where each sensor point is on the same insertion probe,each multi-track sensor point is completely independent of other sensors,making it easy to replace or clean a single transmitter in the field.
