Product features,KOBOLD NMF membrane switches allow level monitoring of dry bulk cargoes in storage containers. These are commonly used to indicate the full and empty status of powdered and granular bulk materials. Any free-flowing material with a particle size of 30 mm or less (~1.2 inches) and a density in the range of 19-144 lb/ft3 is suitable for NMF. The NMF is a simple pressure-sensitive device in which material pressure is transmitted through an elastomer or thin metal membrane to an internal mechanical switch. Operation is simple and very reliable if the material does not have sharp edges or is not placed directly into a large filling stream. However,even in these types of situations,the diaphragm can usually be protected by using a simple mechanical shield.
