Orpheus is a FireWire multi-channel audio interface used by personal recording and sound production,professional musicians,composers,engineers and producers as well as recording studios,post-production facilities and scoring stages. Orpheus is ideal for music and recording,multi-track,super audio,stem-based control,analog summing and critical listening applications. Orpheus is in a dedicated FireWire unit compatible with Windows (XP,Vista (32 and 64-bit) and Windows 7 (32 and 64-bit),ASIO and WDM) and MAC OS X 10.4.11 and later (Intel and PPC) Delivering Prism Sound's renowned performance,sound quality and state-of-the-art clocking technology. Once a computer is configured,Orpheus can also be run stand-alone using its S/PDIF or AES3 I/O. Orpheus features line,mic and instrument inputs,selectable turntable RIAA equalization,performer folding and surround monitoring for each output. Built-in premium monitoring mixer,concurrent ADAT and switchable S/PDIF or AES3 digital I/O plus support for external MIDI devices. Microphone input includes MS matrix processing. High-performance digital sample rate conversion (SRC) is available for digital input or output. The dual headphone outputs each have their own volume control,and both monitor the same headphone feed.
