Strainsert PLN-X3 force and torque instrument

The PLNX series indicators are 2 and 4 channel versions with the same basic circuitry and performance characteristics as model PLN-D2. Additional features include different meter boxes,and switch settings from one to four channels,accommodating up to four sensors. Instructions are direct. Resolutions range from 1 lb to 1000 lb depending on full scale sensor capacity. Alternate display units are available. Simple operation. For normal use,there are only three controls involved: turn on the power switch,select a channel,set the no-load or tare reading to zero,and start reading the applied load. The shunt calibration feature provides a quick test of sensor and indicator integrity. The readout system is fully contained in a rugged aluminum alloy housing. Power is provided by a set of rechargeable batteries. The battery and charger with a retractable 110 V AC or 220 V AC power cord are included in the case,as specified. In multi-channel units,the excitation voltages on all sensors are maintained independent of channel switching. Battery power allows complete freedom of use and provides an average of 5–10 hours of continuous operation depending on sensor resistance. Ratio measurement technology prevents degradation of system accuracy due to battery loss. The visual display (flashing:) signals the need for recharging. Recharging is accomplished by pulling the charging cord out of the sealed compartment and plugging it into a standard 110V or 220V,60Hz or 50Hz wall outlet. 220 VAC applications require the customer to provide a plug adapter locally.
