Common methods for measuring NOx include those based on chemiluminescence and electrochemical Sensor technology for chemical technology. Electrochemical techniques cannot measure NO and NO2 simultaneously. Chemiluminescence requires the conversion of NO2 to NO based on an assumed NO:NO2 ratio to measure NO2 content.
