ATI’s Model Q45CT Ring Conductive System is designed for online monitoring of chemically aggressive process solutions. The sensor consists of two metal strap coils held in place by the sensor sheath material. Drive coils are used to induce electrical current in the process solution. The second sensing coil is used to measure the current in the process solution,the magnitude of which is proportional to the conductivity of the process solution. Ring sensors are available in polypropylene and polyetheretherketone to ensure the sensor wetted material is chemically resistant to process chemicals. The sensor material is also non-conductive,thus isolating the sensor from electrical noise and ground loops that could affect the integrity of the measurement. This material also makes the sensor resistant to electrode coatings because most substances do not stick to the sensor material.,the sensor can be installed underwater for easy installation in an open tank or in a pipe with an optional 2-way fitting that is bonded to the sensor for proper alignment. Tee joint material is polypropylene or 316 stainless steel.,Q45CT can also be used as a concentration monitor. The monitor is equipped with concentration/temperature gauges for sodium hydroxide,potassium hydroxide,hydrochloric acid,nitric acid and sulfuric acid. A user-configurable form is also provided for entering data points for custom concentration curves.,the ATI Model Q45CT toroidal conductive system is ideal for corrosive chemical processes,water applications that cover or contaminate traditional sensors,and plating bath operations where high current densities exist. Ring sensors are also called electrodeless conductivity sensors or 0E conductivity sensors.
