Sensidyne Real Time Handheld Dust Monitor Opacity Sensors and Instruments

The Sensidyne Turbidimeter is an advanced real-time dust monitor that uses proven light scattering technology to accurately measure dust concentration. This portable instrument accurately measures and records dust from 1-10,000 μg/m3 with a resolution of 1 μg/m3. Sample mode selects between 60-second sampling,15-minute STEL sampling,or continuous sampling. The turbidity meter has an internal pump that pulls the sample into the isokinetic sampling inlet,where it meets the mantle air that guides the sample through the particle sensor. The sensor is a photodetector that measures laser light scattered by particles in the sample stream. The instrument multiplies each measurement by a k-factor and displays the real-time reading on the instrument display. After each sample,k-factor and environmental factor names as well as STEL,maximum,minimum and average values are logged to the internal data log.
