The RPS-150 series of independent wide-beam ultrasonic sensors can be used as proximity sensors or level sensors. The advantage of this sensor is that the target does not have to be at right angles to the sensor to be detected. A flat target can be tilted up to 35 degrees and still be detected. To facilitate setup,an LED indicator is provided. When in the non-detection state,the LED is green,and when in the detection state,the LED is red. The RPS-150 can operate in two modes: proximity mode and hysteresis mode,as depicted in the image to the right. The operating frequency is 38.5kHz. This model is available in two ranges: 2\ to 40\ or 5\ to 80\. The sensor can provide 120VAC power input or 20-30VDC power input. It also has quick disconnect sockets. The housing is made from plastic valox and has standard 30mm X 60mm limit switch mounting dimensions,as well as side holes for mounting the sensor on the side. The output consists of two solid state relays N.O.N.C.,which can continuously switch 2-130VAC or VDC to 100mA DC or 50mA AC. Relay outputs are short circuit protected and isolated up to 1500 volts rms. '
