Teledyne RESON SeaBat 9001 underwater sound transducer

The SeaBat 9001 multi-beam echo sounder measures 60 soundings on a single swath with a lightweight,portable probe. 60 sonar beams rotate on each swath (combined into a geometrically correct cross-section 90 wide by 1.5 long) to provide simultaneous sonar coverage. At speeds exceeding 10 knots,the SeaBat 9001 can output 15 complete files per second while main 100% seafloor coverage. For its smaller size,the SeaBat 9001 can be launched from a ROV,a small survey or a towed underwater platform for installation and operation. By changing the orientation of the sensor,the coverage of the submarine cable can be increased from 2 to 4 times the measured water depth. The system can be used not only for general hydrographic applications but also for measuring pipelines,breakwaters,port facilities and dredging operations. Optional upgrades to the SeaBat 9001 include simultaneous output of SideScan images,dual probes for extended coverage,and forward-looking imaging capabilities.
