They can be used as voltage dividers in place of traditional mechanical potentiometers. Compared to mechanical potentiometers,Sensofoil® offers significant cost advantages and a service life. Due to their flat design from 0.7 mm (0.027 In.) to 1.7 mm (0.066 In.) and simple adaptation to customer requirements,Sensofoil® membrane potentiometers from Hoffmann+Krippner are the ideal solution for installations with limited installation conditions. The technical indicators of SENSOFOIL® membrane potentiometers are equivalent to,or even exceed,traditional precision potentiometers. They offer attractive cost advantages and are easy to use. Standard elements are available from 50 mm to 500 mm,as well as customer-specific variants at very favorable prices. In particular,good repeatability,easy-to-implement redundancy and problem-free integration into new and existing designs are decisive advantages. SENSOFOIL® follows the shape and function of the specific application: linear,round or customer-specific shapes are available,as well as contact-free connections (SENSOFOIL® magnets). Depending on various parameters,the service life ranges from 1 million to 60 million operations with a repeatability of 1 mm to 500 u00b5m. All SENSOFOIL u00ae standard products are sealed to IP 65/NEMA 4X and additionally offer enhanced sealing capabilities.
