1. Product introduction


The ST-YL01 small rainfall sensor is used to measure ground rainfall and can be widely used in small weather stations,hydrological stations,agriculture and forestry and other relevant departments to measure precipitation amount,precipitation intensity and precipitation time.

The structure design is reasonable,the water-bearing bucket,and the outer shell are made of ABS engineering plastics. It is small and beautiful,and easy to install. The imported reed switch has high measurement accuracy and good stability. The turning part is a stainless steel shaft matched with precision gem bearings. It not only has high tipping sensitivity,but also works stably and reliably,and is also wear-resistant and has a life. Precision machining ensures high accuracy of the entire tipping system. There is a leveling bubble inside the chassis,which can be adjusted through the bottom corner to achieve optimal leveling.

The rainfall passes through a receiver and flows into the tipping bucket. When a certain amount of rainwater flows into the tipping bucket,the tipping bucket flips,empties the rainwater in the tipping bucket,and the tipping bucket starts to receive water again. Each flipping action of the tipping bucket is converted into a pulse signal through a reed switch ( 1 pulse = 0.2mm precipitation) is transmitted to the acquisition system. This instrument is suitable for equipping national basic rainfall stations,encrypted automatic weather (rainfall stations) and telemetry stations in various places and under various climatic and environmental conditions to complete automatic measurement and data collection of precipitation processes. The equipment consists of a water bucket,a black tipping bucket,a control circuit board,a floor box,a chassis,a right-angle fixed bracket (1 piece),a right-angle mounting bracket (2 pieces),etc.

1. Check whether the tipping bucket is flexible

9. Routine maintenance and upkeep


The instrument should be maintained once a month during use to prevent wind,sand and other factors from affecting normal use;

Observe whether there is any dirt in the water bucket. If there is,the dirt needs to be cleaned;

Remove the water bucket and observe whether there is sediment in the black tipping bucket. If there is,gently take out the tipping bucket and clean the sediment (note that during the cleaning process,do not wet the control panel and do not remove the screws on one side of the tipping bucket. Looseness and shifting) and wipe the cleaned tipping bucket with clean tissue paper. Then put the tipping bucket back to its original position and gently turn the tipping bucket so that it can flip normally.

After the above work is completed,fix the water bucket and chassis;

In winter or when it does not rain for a time,the sensor housing should be covered with plastic to prevent wind and sand from blocking the sensor water inlet;
