The Thermal Cutoff Products division develops and produces thermal protection devices designed to prevent fires in electrical equipment by sensing overheating and immediately interrupting the circuit. NEC SCHOTT SEFUSE® is a trusted thermal connection brand that complies with many international industrial safety standards. NEC SCHOTT SEFUSE® SF type is a thermal connection based on the one-time operation principle that prevents electrical appliances from catching fire due to overheating. Therefore,these conical shot peened components have excellent reliability and performance and are widely used in various consumer electronics products and electrical appliances. . It uses organic heat-sensitive materials within a metal casing and is capable of operating in high-current circuits.,Type SF consists of a sliding contact,two springs and a thermal projectile inside a metal housing. At normal temperature,the sliding contact touches the top of the wire. Electricity flows through the sliding contact and metal casing to the other wire,closing the circuit. When the ambient temperature reaches a critical point,the hot pellet melts and the spring moves the sliding contact away,causing an interruption in the current flow.,NEC SCHOTT SEFUSE® Type SM is a thermal connection designed to protect household appliances and industrial electrical equipment from catching fire. It contains a fusible alloy inside an insulating housing that interrupts the circuit by melting when ambient temperatures reach abnormal levels. The two leads are connected in the device by a fusible alloy coated with a special flux. Under normal conditions,current flows directly from one conductor to the other through the fusible alloy. If the ambient temperature reaches a critical point,the fusible alloy will melt and then condense into a droplet near the end of each wire due to surface tension and a special coating. Therefore,the current is immediately interrupted.
