Thermowells are pressure-resistant containers that extend the service life of the temperature in environments where the sensor is incompatible with the process medium or the sensor does not have the mechanical strength to withstand the process or pressure. Thermowells also make it easy to remove,replace,inspect,or replace sensors without venting the process system. Using standardized thermowells throughout the plant allows for easy sensor relocation.
