The StarTOC TOC\/TN online process analyzer uses high-temperature combustion and mature chemiluminescence technology to reliably perform TOC and total nitrogen analysis.,Chemiluminescence:,In the combustion reactor,the nitrogen in the sample is converted into nitric oxide (NO). It is then combined with ozone (O3),which brings NO to a highly oxidized but unstable state. This reaction quickly decays,emitting light. This small amount of light is then quantified and proportional to the nitrogen content of the sample.
