French HYDROPTIC company UVP6-HF underwater particle and zooplankton image in-situ acquisition system

Category: Underwater particle and zooplankton image in-situ acquisition system
Model: UVP6-HF
Keywords: underwater particulate matter and zooplankton image in-situ acquisition system
Supplier: Technology Co.,Ltd.

The UVP6-HF underwater particle and zooplankton image in-situ acquisition system (CNRS patent) is mainly used to simultaneously study underwater large particles (>80μm) and zooplankton (>700μm),and to measure water particles under known water volumes. and zooplankton were quantified. The UVP6-HF system uses traditional lighting equipment and computer-processed optical technology to obtain in-situ digital images of zooplankton, with a pressure-resistant depth of 6000m.

The UVP6-HF underwater particle and zooplankton image in-situ acquisition system (CNRS patent) is mainly used to simultaneously study underwater large particles (>80μm) and zooplankton (>700μm),and to measure water particles under known water volumes. and zooplankton were quantified. The UVP6-HF system uses traditional lighting equipment and computer-processed optical technology to obtain in-situ digital images of zooplankton. The images can subsequently be used to identify and classify zooplankton species through the EcoTaxa zooplankton database sharing platform. Its pressure-resistant depth reaches 6000m.

UVP6-HF is a smaller version of UVP5 that has the same design quality standards as UVP5 and offers up to 5 megapixel resolution. It can capture focused images of zooplankton within the range illuminated by a red flash light, with a focusing volume of 0.65 liters. The high-resolution digital images captured can be processed and analyzed by a computer at a later stage. When the UVP6-HF is connected to traditional CTD measurement equipment, particle and zooplankton distributions can be displayed in real time and integrated with CTD metadata. UVP6-HF and UVP5 version systems are calibrated against each other.

Process the pictures by UVP6-HF and upload them to the EcoTaxa website. You can use existing libraries on the website or libraries you have created to automatically identify and classify the pictures. At the same time, the corresponding particle size spectrum can also be drawn according to the filtering conditions. In addition, users can also search and browse areas and projects they are interested in on the website.
