Spectral Measurement (Prism Sound) VSIO Digital Serial Interface Adapter Audio Microphone

The VSIO adapter is a dS\U2013 network peripheral designed primarily for dScope Series III test and measurement systems. It is an interface adapter that allows bidirectional conversion between the dScope's AES3 output and input,and the serial audio multiplex interfaces (such as I2S) commonly found on digital audio ICs. The precise of the serial multiplexers and their electrical characteristics (such as rail voltage) are freely adjustable by the user. The VSIO adapter handle up to 16 multiplexed channels on one wire,or up to 8 on each of two wires,or up to 4 on each of four wires. Each VSIO output slot (channel) can be driven from the A or B channel of the dScope signal generator,and can also be muted; any two VSIO input slots (channels) can be routed to dScope's signal analyzer. Audio word lengths from 8 to 24 bits can be placed anywhere within the slot length of 8,16,24 or 32 bits; data can be processed MSB- or LSB-first. Clock polarity and multipliers can be freely selected; frame clock can be generated one bit ahead or unit width if required; sign extension is supported. Synchronization is possible from the dScope of the EUT (SCK/LRCK or MCK) and supports EUT rail voltages of 1.8V,2.5V,3.3V or 5V (TTL or CMOS threshold).
