WMG Smart Oil Moisture Content Monitor is an industrial-grade transmitter developed to monitor the content of water molecules in industrial oil products. The sensor uses advanced foreign polymer capacitive probes, which can monitor the content of transformer oil and lubricating oil used in industrial sites. WMG smart oil moisture content monitor uses water activity (aw) to express the micro-water content in oil. That is: water activity is the ratio of the moisture content in a certain substance to the total amount of moisture it can hold. It can be defined as: aw = p / p0 where, p = partial pressure of water vapor in a certain substance p0 = saturated water vapor pressure of pure water at the same temperature. According to the above formula, the of aw is related to the saturation point (p0, denominator ) into a functional relationship. The in aw is also a function of the actual water content in the oil, that is, the entry or exit of water will the water content in the oil. In other words, aw always provides an accurate indication of the saturation point margin. For example: gearbox lubricating oil temperature: 70°C saturation point: 5000 ppm. When the oil temperature drops to 30°C, the saturation point of the oil also drops to 3000 ppm. Significantly affected by temperature. Once the saturation point is reached, excess water will form an obvious oil-water layer and be precipitated in the form of free water. Since most oils are less dense than water, a layer of water often settles beneath the oil layer, creating a significant risk. In summary, measuring the aw value can accurately show the degree of risk of free water. When AW is greater than or equal to 1, when the free state exists, the product's O&W oil mixed water percentage begins to display the water content, and an alarm is output according to the set data.
