Daniel Company ( Daniel Measurement and Control Inc. ) was founded in 1930. It has always provided high-quality custody transfer equipment for the oil and gas industry, and has always been a company committed to the development of new products and providing users with broader and more comprehensive technologies. It was acquired by Emerson in 1999 and integrated into its flow unit (Flow BU). In 2021, Turnspire acquired Daniel's measurement and control business. The main flow products under the brand include gas ultrasonic flow meters, liquid ultrasonic flow meters, liquid turbine flow meters and advanced orifice valves.

Emerson (“EMERSON”) has completed the sale of its Daniel Measurement and Control business (“Daniel”) to Turnspire Capital Partners LLC (“Turnspire”). According to the agreement between the two parties, Emerson will transfer Daniel’s brand rights, Factory, intellectual property and personnel, only the ultrasonic and metering system parts are retained.

After a one-year grace period stipulated in the terms of the deal, Emerson will completely lose the rights to use the Daniel brand and trademarks. Emerson has confirmed that it will use the RoseMount brand on future production of advanced ultrasonic flow meters, and the Rosemount family of flow meters will welcome a new member who is both familiar and unfamiliar.
