WDI Wise Device Inc.

In February 2008, WDI underwent a change of ownership. WDI was acquired and is now a wholly Canadian-owned company. As the final step in the restructuring process, Wegu Equipment Corporation has changed its name to WDI-Wise Equipment Corporation. Part of the reason is that, as its product line expands and enters new applications, the Wegu Equipment Company name will more closely indicate its business purpose. WDI-Wise Device Inc. retains the word "device" in its name because it demonstrates their strategy of not building entire systems but instead providing unique devices or components to enable its systems to deliver superior performance. They adopted the word Wise because its definition is: the ability to discern or judge what is true or lasting; to have good judgment; to be well-informed and well-learned. This aligns well with their strategy of developing products with leading-edge technologies that deliver significant product value after understanding their customers' applications and requirements thoroughly. For simplicity and convenience, they will continue to refer to themselves by the abbreviated form of WDI. WDI is excited and proud of these changes as they demonstrate their strong growth and dedication to innovation.
